The Powerful Congratulate Themselves: 2019 Oscars

As someone who started working in the Entertainment Industry back in 1990, and seeing firsthand how things are done, I am really just so sick of these Right Wing accusations that Hollywood is ran by one group who is pushing a certain agenda. So, in order to prove that ridiculous assertion wrong, I will briefly go over who walked away with what Oscars – who they were and what their award was for. I’m going to prove all those MAGA hat-wearing racists wrong once and for all. And then we can all go slap a Nazi.

First, I’m tired of people like Ben Stein writing articles with titles saying that Hollywood is ran by Jews and then gloating over it. Clearly he is an anti-Semite. There may be a Jew here or there running a studio or producing a motion picture, but to refer to them all as “The Tribe” is uncalled for. It suggests they are over represented or worse, that one has a greater chance of getting things done in that industry if you are a member of the Tribe. It doesn’t sound right so it shouldn’t be said.

And you know what else, I’m glad the Academy recently rapidly added over 900 new members, mostly those who had not yet been in the business very long, on the basis of their diversity because Hollywood needs more diversity. I’m tired of them putting out nothing but John Wayne movies. White privilege has got to end.

Second, this idea that Hollywood is trying to divide America, and they wish to convince certain groups that they are members of a victim class and should be revolting against the majority – it’s not true. Well, I simply see no evidence that this is true. And I don’t want to see it. So, without further ado, let me breakdown who won what and why and put an end to this kind of hate speech. After all, hate speech is not free speech and there needs to be legal consequences for engaging in it.

It’s not enough to only have Facebook and Google and Twitter working tirelessly to stop people from saying things that are not true and are offensive. We need to have severe laws in place to monitor what can be said, but that is another article probably for Buzzfeed.

The 2019 Academy Awards: Who Won What and Why?

Best Picture: “Greenbook” – A story about black victimhood, produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe.

Actress in a Supporting Role: “Regina King” – A Black Woman acting in a movie adapted from a novel by a Gay Black Writer, produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe.

Actor in a Supporter Role: “Mahershala Ali” – A Black Man depicting Black victimhood in a movie produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe.

Foreign Language Film: “Roma” – a story directed by an Hispanic Director about a female Mexican domestic worker, produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe.

Adapted Screenplay: “BlacKkKlansnman” – a story about Black victimhood produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe.

Original Screenplay: “Greenbook” – a story about Black victimhood produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe.

Actor in a Leading Role: “Rami Malek” – brilliantly plays the lead in a motion pictured helmed by a Gay Director who is currently facing multiple accusations of sexually molesting underage boys, over the course of many years with multiple witnesses, produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe. It should be noted that certain members of the press (The Telegraph for instance) are up in arms for Rami Malek not portraying his character gay enough.

Actress in a Leading Role: “Olivia Coleman” – a foreign actress starring in a movie about women in power, produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe.

Director: “Alfonso Cuarón” – An Hispanic Director for “Roma” a movie about a female Mexican domestic worker, produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe. Famed race-baiter and sometimes Director Spike Lee was so infuriated by this win, he is said to have nearly stormed out of the theater where the Oscars were being held. The last time Spike got this angry he publicly gave out the home address to an elderly couple, who bore the same last name as an Hispanic man who fought to save his life against a Black male who had assaulted him. That elderly couple faced numerous death threats as the result. Hopefully Alfonso is in a safe house by now. But I digress.

Production Design: “Black Panther” – a movie about a Black Muslim super hero, produced and directed by elite members of the Tribe.

Costume Design: “Black Panther” – a movie about a Black Muslim super hero, produced and directed by elite members of the Tribe.

Original Score: “Black Panther” – a movie about a Black Muslim super hero, produced and directed by elite members of the Tribe.

Sound Editing and Sound Mixing and Film Editing: All go to the movie with the gay director who molested underage boys, etc.

Make Up and Hair Styling: “Vice” – a movie that mocks a Republican politician, produced and distributed by elite members of the Tribe. Did I mention that a Black Democrat Congressman was one of the presenters that night?

So in summary, I’m not saying I’m going to go out and light my neighborhood on fire or anything like that. But I hope I have proven Ben Stein wrong about one group of people producing and distributing nearly all of the movies. And I hope I have proven Ben Shapiro wrong that Hollywood is using its power to advance a specific political agenda. And now that I’m finally done writing this article, I have been meaning to watch this show on Netflix called “Dear White People”. I hear it really speaks truth to power.
